Neu - Schutzgebiet Kaunergrat
Seit Gründung des Naturpark Kaunergrat 1998 strebte der Verein danach den markanten Gebirgskamm zwischen dem Pitztal und dem Kaunertal als weithin sichtbaren Kern des Naturpark unter Schutz zu stellen. Mit dem Beschluss der Tiroler Landesregierung vom 2.3.2021 ist diese Vision nun endlich Wirklichkeit geworden. Eine Schutzgebietsfläche von 13032 ha wurden neu in den Naturpark Kaunergrat und in das Tiroler Schutzgebietsnetzwerk eingebracht.
