Accessible adventures in the mountains

Over recent years, the Kaunertal has firmly established itself as an accessible holiday destination, with a wide range of offerings for people with reduced mobility, senior citizens, and families with young children. From the Kaunertal Glacier and wheelchair-friendly hiking trails to specially adapted accommodation, the region's infrastructure is designed with inclusivity in mind. Cultural and leisure activities are also continuously evolving to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy unrestricted access.

Despite these efforts, the region currently lacks comprehensive, tailored information material that presents its diverse accessible offerings in a clear and appealing way. Existing brochures and websites cover the basics, but specific guidance for people with disabilities - particularly around accessible accommodation, activities, and attractions - is often missing. A targeted communication strategy that meets these needs is therefore essential to strengthening the Kaunertal's position as a leading accessible travel destination.

There is a clear and pressing need for a new, modern brochure that speaks directly to the needs of the target group. Beyond making existing offerings more visible, it should provide easy access to detailed information on accessible routes, cultural events, and leisure activities. Compelling photography and emotive visual language will bring the natural experience of the Kaunertal to life for all. With these measures in place, the Kaunertal is well positioned to further cement its reputation as an accessible holiday destination - and to reach a wider international audience.
