The Harbe winter hiking trail in the Kaunergrat Nature Park
Snowy meadows, crystal clear air, deep silence: enjoy untouched nature on a long winter hike. This trail takes you to the picturesque Harbe meadows in the Kaunergrat Nature Park. The whole route treats you to the sunny side of the valley, but please make sure to keep to the 5.6 km winter hiking trail. Many forest animals call the park their home and staying on the trail help ensure they can enjoy the enchanting landscape undisturbed. You might even catch sight of a deer or two! Feel free to bring your dog along - we just ask that you keep them on a lead throughout.

Snowshoeing is the perfect way to explore the winter landscape in all its vastness. Stay on the designated routes and respect the resting wildlife around you — and let every step take you deeper into a truly special winter experience.

Cross-country skiing through the Kaunergrat Nature Park
Whether it's skate-skiing or classic cross-country, you're going to love these trails at Kaunergrat Nature Park:

- Bärenbad trail: Skate-skiing, 6.8 km
- Hubertus trail: Classic, 7.5 km
The entrance to the well-groomed trails is situated directly at the Nature Park Museum. Whether you prefer to glide serenely through the winter scenery or burn off some energy in the snow-covered Harbe meadows, the Kaunertal has you covered - your adventure, your pace!
From the Gogles Alm to the toboggan run
Every great winter holiday deserves a proper toboggan run — and the Kaunergrat Nature Park delivers. Set off from Gogles Alm after a rewarding 1.5 to 2-hour climb of 450 m, refuel with a well-deserved refreshment, and then let gravity do the rest on a perfectly groomed 5 km run down into the valley.
