Gletscherlehrpfad Gepatschferner
An awe-inspiring hike to the glacier tongue of the Gepatschferner, set within the Ötztal Alps nature reserve (Natura 2000 area).
Two route variants are available:
- Variant 1: from the Fernergries car park, follow the glacier trail to the glacier tongue and continue to the Oberbirg
- Variant 2: from the Ochsenalm car park, follow the glacier trail to the glacier tongue - return via the Fernergries
Both variants offer the option of catching the public bus back to your car - be sure to check the timetable before you set off!
And don't forget, with your Summercard Kaunertal, all public transport can be used free of charge.
