In 2026, teenagers and adults take the stage together in “Influencer-Influenza,” a fast-paced comedy about social media, self-promotion, and the everyday madness of family life—by Michael Schmid.

The young influencer Simone still lives in the attic studio of her overprotective parents, who treat her as if she had never grown up. Her big break seems to have arrived: an influencer competition hosted by Giovanni and Warsace offers a lucrative advertising contract—and with it, the long-awaited apartment of her own. But even though Simone is in the lead in the competition, her perfectly staged life is spiraling out of control: her ex-boyfriend shows up, an overzealous fan suddenly appears in the living room—and then Simone falls ill. Her private doctor’s diagnosis: Influencer Influenza. A mysterious new illness that means one thing above all else—she can no longer post videos! Between digital highs and real-life lows, the question arises: What remains of a life lived for likes when suddenly nothing goes online anymore? A sharp, timely comedy about fame, reality, and the search for one’s own path.
