Underground tunnel walk

The irrigation system at the High-Alpine Kaunertal is unique. The intake channel runs from the Gallruth glacier along lodges and Alpine meadows down to the Inn and supplies dry areas with life-giving water. A unique walk along the intake channel and through the Gallruth underground tunnel offers insights into this unique irrigation system. The tour starts with a small adventure, the 996 m Gallruth tunnel, through which we pass with torches and flashlights. We take our first break at the simple and pristine Gallruth Alm lodge, then climb further and follow the panorama path to the beautifully situated Falkauns Alm lodge. The adventure walk takes place on Wednesdays in July and August.
